At some point following the Denver Broncos surprising blow-out loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Bill Maher took to Twitter to fire off an intentionally incendiary comment about Tim Tebow and Jesus. Maher's Tweet read: "Wow, Jesus just f***ed # TimTebow bad! And on Xmas Eve! Somewhere in hell Satan is tebowing, saying to Hitler "Hey, Buffalo's killing them." Obviously, Maher was trying to stir the pot, knowing full well that his raw brand of humor would draw fire from Christian conservatives and the religious right. And, in fact, that's surely the result that Maher was hoping for.
By making such an incendiary cheap Panthers Jerseys remark about Tebow AND Jesus, Maher was sure to gain national attention and calls to boycott his HBO show. But the people calling for a boycott of his show were never going to watch in the first place. Instead, the national media uproar will only serve to draw in other moderate and liberal viewers who are more likely to get the irreverent joke.
Maher has effectively used the media - and a growing, vocal Christian Right - Cheap Minnesota Vikings Jerseys to promote his personal brand and his show on HBO. Maher's tweet was completely consistent with the style of humor that he employs on his show and he's sure to speak often about this particular incident when Real Time with Bill Maher returns to HBO on January 13.
If Tim Tebow and the Broncos make the NFL playoffs, which will be determined this Sunday, then he's going to continue to be a hot topic of conversation for at least another couple of weeks. Even if the Broncos fail to make the postseason, it's likely that Tebow is going to remain a popular topic for comedians and a Bills Jerseys cheap frequent visitor to talk shows throughout the country during the NFL off-season. report=2012-02-09data
